Inside Our Changing Table.

So, Baby J. is down for the night,a personal sized pizza is in the oven, and an idea that has been bouncing around my head all day is going to be blogged about.

Actually, as you probably can still remember from some of my earliest posts, (there aren't that many because I haven't been blogging for long),one of the things we are working on in our home is organization. I shared with you my readers a post on how I'd organized the linen closet and our laundry/storage room.

Well, today not only will I share with you how I organized Baby J.'s changing table but also what exactly is in it. I thought this post would tie in nicely with my ABC Of Baby Essentials.

To start off here is a picture of just how cluttered my changing table can get before it becomes the gorgeous organized masterpiece.

No judging allowed...it happens to the best of us.
Like I mentioned in the ABC post, burp clothes are extremely important. Here's my stack.

Burp Clothes. Going to be adding more to these ones.
Then we have the two hooded towels. I especially love the blue puppy one.

The two hooded towels.
After seeing one of my friends use her special burp cloth I went and searched online for some of my own. I found some form-fitting ones (the white one) and then a much smaller version (the blue) was a gift from a friend. I love both. The white offers more coverage but the blue one is so soft and pretty. Either way I will be ordering more of both types. I use these when we go out someplace. Their more attractive but in the end once the spit up is on them...well the attractiveness fades.

Another version of burp clothes. These I use when going out.

Now, that Baby J. is bigger I've invested in a 7 day set of bibs. I love the cute designs and sayings on each. And will probably buy a similar set for our next baby. These have been washed very often yet the designs are still in perfect condition. The only thing is the edges have faded a little because of the use of Clorox.
Bibs- I have a 7 day set, only six shown here
because we used one for lunch.
This blanket was also a gift and we love it. It's really large and will be good up until Baby J. is about 2 years old. The material is super soft and light.
I have three such light blankets. They're a large size
so they should do nicely until Baby J. is about 2 years old.
I originally only bought one such basket but I've since decided to buy more. This is a smaller sized one that fits perfectly into a drawer in the changing table. I like storing all the small items on it.
My basket for the itty-bitty things.
Going to have to buy more of these.
This set was a cheap find but it does it's job perfectly. Even though I've yet to use the nail file and scissors. Actually we used the scissors to trim Baby J.'s hair.
Nail clipper/ File/Scissor Set.
The nose spray and vapor rub have helped Baby J. overcome two separate colds. Worth the money I spent on them.
Nose spray and a vapor rub. Works wonders for colds.
This set of oil, diaper powder, and diaper cream is what I originally bought for Baby J. The cream hasn't been used much because we've noticed the powder works better at keeping the skin dry and healing the rash faster. The oil I use on occasion when Baby J. is really agitated and needs a nice massage to relax before bedtime.
I love this brand. Oil/ Diaper Powder/ Diaper Cream.
Since I ended up doing half-half (breastfeeding/pumping) , I invested in these plastic baggies. Their wonderful for storing breast milk in the freezer and also baby food.
Breastmilk Storage Bags.
The tub came with the table and was just perfect for bathing a newborn Baby J.
We used this tub for about 5 months before switching
over to the big bathroom one.

The end result. Doesn't it look pretty?
The final product. I also added Diapers to the drawer.

I feel that we made a sound investement when we bought the changing table. It's been perfect for storing so many things and has acted as a closet for Baby J.'s clothing as well. Plus, we had the added bonus of a mini-tub, which we used plenty. Definitely glad we bought it.

What is one of your favorite baby furniture pieces that you own?

The Most Absolute Essentials Needed For Newborns...Personal Comments Free Of Charge

There are a few things every new mother is going to need. With so many things out there it gets rather overwhelming trying to decide exactly what is needed and what is not all that important. I remember well my first pregnancy and the stress we had trying to decide on what to buy and what to hold off on.

So without further ado here is my version of the Most Absolute Essential Items Needed for those first weeks/month.

1. Diapers and Wet Wipes- You are going to need more diapers than you've ever thought possible. A newborn has an inborn talent of blowing through those diapers like their tissue paper. So stock up! Wet Wipes are right behind diapers in their importance. They are wonderful for cleaning up spit up of the baby's face and leaving no trace of that nasty vomit smell. Of course, you also need these for diaper changes.

2. Baby Bodies- You are going to need at least one for each day of the week; then add another round of seven in case of spit up or explosive diapers. Remember newborns go through those diapers like tissue paper which means there are going to be many incidents were the poop spills out of the diaper and onto the Baby-Body.I personally only had 10 Baby-Bodies to begin with and regretted it within the first week. After three days of changing every piece of clothing on my newborn twice I was already more than half out of bodies and clothes.

3. Clothing / Baby Mittens- It's true there is no use buying every single piece of clothing you find adorable in the newborn size. Instead try to stock up on the following two sizes. The more your baby grows the longer he tends to wear each size. BUT that doesn't mean you should only buy 5 newborn outfits...like I did. YOU.WILL.REGRET.IT. Have at least an outfit for every single day of the week and at least two extras...you know for those wonderful diaper incidents that WILL happen to you.
Baby mittens are a must. The little ones are born with nails and because they don't know how to control their movements during the first weeks they tend to scratch themselves. My suggestion is pack a pair with you when going to the hospital and once the little one arrives make sure those hands are covered right away to avoid them scratching that beautiful little face.

4. Burp Clothes- Many. Get plenty of these. Some newborns have very little trouble with spit up but others have A LOT. And most of it tends to end up on your clothes. Which is why these are so important. They are a wonderful way to avoid getting spit up all over your shoulders and back.  Personally, I have 8 of these and now for my second pregnancy am considering buying at least 4 more. Bringing me to a grand total of 12.

5. Nipple Cream / Nursing Pads- Whoever invented this cream deserves a BIG prize. They were an absolute genius. It doesn't matter if you are a first time or a fifth time mother. Nipple cream is as essential to survival within the first month or two as getting a good nights sleep.
Nursing Pads- They are a must! Believe me when I say you will be leaking like a faucet as soon as your milk comes in. Nursing Pads will definitely help avoid some potentially embarrassing situations once your milk comes in. Once that baby cries, it doesn't even have to be your own, that milk will start flowing. My suggestion- stock up on these at least until your milk supply evens out some.

6. Diaper Powder Or Cream- Now, I know every baby's bottom is different which is why I suggest you buy a small one of each of these. Baby J.'s bottom thankfully was and is fairly resistant to rashes so we didn't really have to deal with these. But like all parents, there is that ONE time when the little one's bottom will rash over like nothing you've seen and nothing seems to help. For us, the solution was Diaper Powder. Unlike a cream which keeps the bottom slightly moist, the powder quickly absorbs all liquid and keeps the bottom dry. Which ultimately helps the rash to clear up faster.

7. Diaper Bag- Kiss your pretty little handbag good-bye. Its days are over for now. There are many different versions of a diaper bag. My suggestion- buy one that will have plenty of space and pockets so that everything you need when going out will fit. Trust me, there is going to be a lot of things you'll need to tote around. Also, I found that a diaper bag with a bigger shoulder strap works well for being able to loop around the handlebars from the stroller eliminating the need to constantly carrying it on your shoulder.

8. Stroller/Car seat/ Travel System- A car seat is an absolute must. No ifs about it. And so is a stroller. Which means you can also opt for a travel system. We bought a travel system and loved it. It allowed us to attach the car seat to the stroller without any trouble and when that option no longer fit for our little one we installed the "sport" version. Which our little man is quite happy with. Find a system that works for you, take your time deciding because these things have a tendency to be fairly expensive and you don't want to pay twice. If possible buy second-hand, it's a great way to save some money.

9. Changing table / Crib - These two just like the car seat and stroller are absolutely essential. Baby will need someplace to sleep. I firmly believe that even if you plan on co-sleeping you should have at least a small crib near by for the times when baby is going to have to nap by himself. It helps evade the potential of them falling out of bed. We co-slept for a few months with Baby J. but we always made sure that the times were he had to nap alone that he did so in his crib.
A changing table is also oh so very important. It helps not only for storing all those diapers, wet wipes, and other itty-bitty items but it also helps with the back-pain. Yes, diaper changing can cause back-pain. A changing table is just the right height so that your back will not suffer from being forced to bed over constantly while changing a diaper. My personal advice- get one. Baby J. is now almost 10 months old and we still use his changing table.

10. Towels- Just like we need a towel after taking a bath to dry off so does the little one. Personally, I haven't really seen the absolute importance of a hooded towel for the baby. A large normal one will do just fine. We did buy Baby J. two hooded towels and have used them ever since but we've occasionally also used a large regular towel and found that there really isn't a difference.

11. Baby Shampoo/ Oil/ Lotion- Try and get a gentle on the eyes baby shampoo. If you're wanting to massage your baby after a bath or before bedtime either oil or lotion will do. But try to stick to one. To much of both and your baby might break out into a rash or start having very oily skin.

12. Baby Nail Clippers/ Scissors/ Hair Brush - The nail clippers are worth their weight in gold. Believe me when I say baby's can grow their nails faster than you can keep them trimmed. And you will want to keep them trimmed because otherwise you will be sporting plenty of scratches. Personally, if you have the nail clippers the scissors are not all that essential anymore but some parents prefer using the scissors instead of the clippers which is why I listed them.
The hair brush- well, it really isn't all that essential. Few babies are born with a head full of hair that really and truly needs the use of a brush. A bath will normally get that hair so silky smooth a hairbrush isn't needed. Baby J. had a TON of hair when he was born but it was so very fine and silky smooth that we never actually used the brush. He's now almost 10 months old and I have yet to actually NEED the brush to untangle his hair...it's just never tangled up.

13. Pacifiers/ Swaddling Blankets - Most babies have a tendency to wake up from a sound sleep because the movement of their arms or legs scares them. We actually never used any because Baby J. didn't scare easy so there was no need.
Pacifiers are a miracle and I suggest using one. There are times when nothing else will soothe a baby. Not even a finger in its mouth, not the breast, not nothing. Pacifiers have a tendency to work when nothing else will. Of course, there are also moments when not even they will calm your little one.

So here is my version of the Most Absolute Essential Items you need for the very first weeks/ month at home with your newborn. These are the items I found to be absolutely necessary during my first month(s) home with little Baby J. so I am mostly speaking from my own personal experience. Which means everyone is different you might need more or less than I did. This list was meant to give at least a vague insight into what a newborn/ first time mom requires.

What did you find were absolutely necessary for your first month(s)?? Leave me a comment below!

My Thoughts On Chapter 1 Of The Purpose Driven Life

The Purpose Driven Book
Chapter One: It All Starts With God

This chapter was an excellent begin.

I loved the very first sentence..."It's not about you." How very true.
It really and truly isn't. It should be about fulfilling the purpose God planned for me when He put me on this earth.

There was one sentence that really stuck out for me.
"You were made by God and for God- and until you understand that, life will never make sense."(PDL pg.19)

I have lost count of the number of times I have said to myself "This just doesn't make sense, living life like this makes no sense!" Of course it doesn't. And this chapter has helped me see why. I have always placed myself first. My desires, my hopes, dreams, thoughts, and plans. Very rarely did I happen to think of God's hopes for me, His plans, thoughts, and desires. Because I am human all of my plans varied greatly from His.

I am so thankful this chapter has made me realize just exactly what the first change should be. I need to focus more on God's purpose for me and allowing Him to use me in it. "...life is about letting God use you for his purposes, not your using him for your own purpose." (PDL pg.18)

Question To Consider: In spite of all the advertising around me, how can I remind myself that life is really about living for God,not myself?

Hmm, I guess a start would be setting aside a time of the day to be spent pondering a verse(s) or chapter(s) from the Bible. Having a special time of the day set aside for prayer and Bible reading would be a good start. I think even better would be having it set aside right after the morning routine of getting ready for the day is finished, that way the day starts off with the focus being on God's Word and having some time with Him in prayer. This would also be a great way to ponder on Him and His message for me throughout the day.

What are you're thoughts on the Question To Consider?
________________________________________________________________

One thing I want to be very clear on is this...NO ONE is paying me or asking me to review this book. I decided to start with this particular book because it's been on my "to-do list" for almost 10 years. Oops. Anyways, I really want to go through it and read it and think on it. As well as record my thoughts somewhere and my blog is the perfect place for that.

I will be hopefully doing many more such projects. Reading is a MAJOR part of my life. I love getting immersed into a book, a good story can have me reading it even while cooking...which has more than once caused me to burn our dinner. Once more...oops. I also hope to be able to help Baby J. find such a love for reading as well. And later once the other little one is grown help him as well.

So, this isn't going to be a one time thing. I plan to do this with a variety of books.

BUT I'm also not promising anything. My plans are just that plans. The future has a way of being filled with surprises and unexpected changes. Especially when two little ones are thrown into the equation.

Rain Already!!

The weather it is evil.

Seriously, if not evil then at the very least it has decided to make me look the fool.

Yesterday, I spoke with a very sweet lady from our church about going over this morning to visit her and her newborn baby. We agreed 10:30-11 A.M. would be perfect for a short visit and we hung up.

Today I woke up to a wonderful but totally untimely rainshower. It rained from 5:50 A.M. to 8o'clock. Of course somewhere around 7:30 the rainshower became an all out thunderstorm and rain was pouring out of the sky like someone had turned the faucet on to full power.

So what did I do?

I wrote that dear lady a text letting her know I couldn't come visit in such weather because I travel mainly by foot and we would be soaked dared we attempt to visit. Then I made myself a cup of tea, put Baby J. down for a nap, popped some popcorn and decided to catch up on my blog reading.

About five minutes into a rather insightful post, I noticed the quiet. Looking up, I literally gasped. The sun was shining and no rain. NONE. WHATSOEVER.

You, know what this means right. She probably checked her message about two minutes AFTER it stopped raining and then thought...huh, can't visit cause of the weather huh?

It's not fair. Why did it have to stop raining? Now, I look like a lazy old fool. Oh jeez, I'm going to have to call and explain.

But I'm going to keep hoping it starts raining again. 10 A.M. would be good time for it to start. That way I can say:

"See, it's raining. I didn't lie."

Bathtime And A Promotion.

Background here. The rest is my own.

Baby J. must have been hoping I'd feel special.

But I don't.

I feel gross, disgusted, and am still rubbing disinfectant on my hand. Make that hands.

Here's the scope.

Hubby and I decided to have Baby J.'s bath time early today. Our schedule was a little bit overflowing with things we needed to get done. So, Baby J.'s bath time got moved up.

Well, everything was going splendidly. The water was the perfect temperature, Baby J. was happy and enjoying his toys and water time. Yes, everything was truly going wonderfully well.We managed to get him washed and rinsed of all the shampoo with very little fuss and were commenting to each other on how well today's bath time was going.

Hubby then scooped up the little man from the water and quickly handed him to me. My job is to always have the towel ready to wrap around Baby J. as soon as he's out of the warm water so that he won't get cold. There I am holding Baby J. with his back to me (he was facing Hubby), one hand under his towel covered bottom and the other across his chest.

That's when it happened.

The my hand holding Baby's towel covered bottom started feeling a peculiar warmth. I looked up at hubby and saw him stare at Baby J., then he started smiling and that's when I realized Baby J. had peed on my hand. Well, in the towel which my hand was touching.

If only he had stopped there. Instead I started hearing the way to familiar sounding grunts that meant Baby J. was attempting to empty his bowels. I'll remember the following moments forever. There he was struggling to poop and then it hit the towel. And started running through the material and filling up my hand. I stared at Hubby in horror and shouted "Oh my goodness! He pooped! IN MY HAND!"

To which the love of my life responded with a laugh that literally had him doubling over. And he continued to laugh until tears were rolling down his face. Realizing that Hubby would be of no help to me I thought I should probably exchange my dirty hand for the clean hand while also wiping his bottom best I could with the towel and throwing it off to the side. So, I did. Only to feel another bout of liquid burst into my hand all over again.

This time there was no towel barrier between the poop and my poor, clean hand.

Hubby took one look at the situation and almost died of laughter.

And I, well I couldn't believe it. I had gotten pooped on TWICE!! In a five minute period! I was ready to cry. And laugh at the impossibility of this happening to me twice within five minutes.

Turning back around to the bathtub, I gently lowered Baby J. back in and started the shower head this time with Hubby still trying to catch his breath from laughing so hard in the background. That's when Hubby decided to update me on my current standing in the Everyday Mommy Headquarters.

"Sweetie," he said," you know I think you've been promoted to Poop Handler."

Wonderful.Absolutely wonderful. Just the promotion I was hoping for.

Coming Soon At Our Headquarters...

Lately Baby J. has been giving me more time to myself.

Does the above sentence strike you as funny as it does me? What I actually meant is that Baby J.'s nap-times have started sorting themselves out more and that means I actually get to have two-three precious hours to myself a day.

Of course, as any mommy out there knows-those two to three hours...usually get filled with errands, housework, cooking, and whatever other chores need to get done. Until recently this had been the norm around here at The Everyday Mommy Headquarters. As soon as Baby J. would drop off to sleep in the mornings I would start racing around the house loading a the dishwasher, the washmachine, cooking lunch, dusting, mopping the floors, and so on. Afternoon naps were spent much the same way as morning naps except I'd take time out for breakfast. It's true, I usually never get around to ACTUALLY eating breakfast well...at a normal breakfast time.

But as you must have noticed, I did mention that this was what was the norm "until recently". Last Friday, I actually walked over to my personal bookshelf and checked out my book collection. Two of them struck me as something I'd like to read and work on.

The first- Bible Memory Plan by Pamela L. McQuade. I bought this of off Christianbooks.com and just never got around to it. Well, I actually enjoy it and it's very simple to use. And dare I say it...I actually memorized two scripture verses already! How exciting!

Image taken from Here.

The second- The Purpose Driven Life by Rick Warren. I actually received this book as a gift a LONG TIME ago. I do believe I was about 14 years old at the time...maybe younger. A small girls group at church wanted to do read through this book together and have discussions about it. Unfortunately for me, I never did manage to attend regularly. So, the book ended up spending more time on my bookshelves than being used. Well, I decided I would really like to get to work on it. I mean, there is still plenty of time to actually READ and COMPLETE the book before the arrival of our second baby. I'd really love to implement the ideas and concepts that it teaches into my life before the little one shows up. I do believe it would greatly benefit not only myself but my family as well.

Image taken from Here.
SO, why am I blogging about this? Let me tell you.

I would very much like to share my thoughts about the Bible Memory Plan Weekly Verses and the Purpose Driven Life with my readers. I would like for my journey through the Purpose Driven Life to be recorded on here. Just as I would love to share my thoughts on the Bible Verses every week.

Now, don't worry I don't plan on forcing anyone to speak up or to actually read these particular blog posts. The posts will always be clearly titled so that if you want to skip over them you can. I want to eventually group them into their own specific category but I'm still a little bit unclear on how that works.

Just like my Blog Title mentions this blog is about the EVERYDAY MOMMY...and everyday moms do many various things. For now, I don't plan on restricting my blog to just recipes or stories about my adventures about being a mom. I'd like to share multiple things with you, my readers, that happen here at our Headquarters.

So, that's that for now. I'll probably start the first posts on the Memory verses and the first chapter of the book later today.

But don't worry! There will also be a many, VERY MANY posts that deal with my cooking, organizing, printables, and of course most important my thoughts and adventures as a Everyday Mommy.

What books have got you thinking? Or are there some specific books you want to get reading? I want to hear from you ... leave me a comment below!

Mother's Day

We here at The Everyday Mommy Headquarters wish all our Moms and Soon-to-be-Moms a Happy Mother's Day!

For myself personally, this was the first year I celebrated Mother's Day. We had so much fun and I loved every minute I got to spend with my two special men.
Hubby surprised me by coming home from work early this week and asking me to get dressed for a walk around the block. So, dressed we got (both Baby J. and myself) and instead of going for a walk we went for a short car trip. Were Hubby made me question his sense of an outing since we ended up parking in an empty parking lot in front of a run down forest. He then requested that I stay in the car but give him Baby J. because they had a surprise for me. So, I stayed and they went.

And what a surprise it was! I waited and waited and then saw them coming. I could see them holding something but couldn't exactly make out what. My two guys then stopped behind the car and Hubby shouted I should step out. After I stepped out my heart melted and I started crying. Happy tears...everyone!

There was my sweet little Baby J. holding a single little snow drop that Hubby told me he had picked all by himself. He was all smiles because of the praises Hubby and I poured on him and the kisses made him laugh.

I thought to myself...BEST PRESENT EVER!! Only Hubby wasn't done. He asked me to hold on to Baby J. and then ran back into the forest. Five minutes later he came back and again shouted for us to step out of the car.

My heart flowed over with love and joy in the moment when I layed eyes on him. There was my Hubby- the love of my life, my other half, the most wonderful husband ever...on one knee holding out a bouquet of snow drops (flowers).

I later found out that he had to drag a great big piece of wood across a small pond and stretch out on it in order to reach those special snow drops. I couldn't believe the trouble he went through to get me some of my favorite flowers!

Then yesterday evening Hubby called to ask if I needed any groceries and the answer was yes. I also asked him to surprise me with something sweet since Baby#2 was craving sweets.

Surprise me he did!

When I opened the door to let him and the groceries in, there was my hubby holding a bouquet of flowers! And that wasn't all, a small chocolate cake and a bag filled with frozen strawberries awaited me as well!

Frozen strawberries, you say? Why such excitement about that?

I'll tell you, currently Baby#2 just like his brother did is making me crave strawberries. I love the fresh ones but the frozen ones just make my mouth water! So, trust me I was VERY happy to see that bag waiting for me!!

Later, Hubby had to leave to attend a meeting but he asked my dad (who was visiting) to take Baby J. and I out for a walk into town. So, my dad took out the stroller and told us to be ready to go for some delicious Italian ice cream. By the way, Italians make THE MOST DELICIOUS ice cream ever!! Our walk was so much fun and on the way home through the park my dad picked out a pretty purple lavender flower and a white lavender flower. He also told me he couldn't believe his little girl is a mom now herself. It brought a tear to my eye.

So, that was how I spent mothers day. With the people that matter the most to me- Baby J. and Hubby and doing things that I love- taking walks, spending time with family, eating ice cream and strawberries, and enjoying some awesomely pretty flowers!!

How did you spend Mother's day? Let me know in a comment below, I'd like to hear from you!

Today's Recipe Is...

Baby J. and I had a great day yesterday. Great but exhausting. One of the things we did was come up with a delicious dinner. Both grandpa and hubby praised it for its tastefulness.

Ingredients:
  • red, green, and yellow bell pepper
  • 3-4 carrots
  • 1 onion (red or yellow)
  • 1 can sliced mushrooms
  • 1 bag spaetzle
  • ground paprika
  • salt
  • pepper
  • vegeta
  • olive oil or canola oil
  1. I used about half of each bell pepper, and sliced it into thin slices. The carrots were then peeled and cut into fours before getting chopped into pinky length slices.
  2. Slice the onion into thin slices.
  3. Empty the can of mushrooms into a strainer.Set aside.
  4. Set a medium sized pot of water with some salt to boil, then add the spaetzle. After they are done boiling dump them into a strainer and run them under cold water for 30 seconds-1 minute. Then set them aside to drain properly of all water.
  5. In a large pan set the olive oil or canola oil to heat. You will need enough to generously cover the bottom of the pan. Once the oil is heated add your onions. After 3-4 minutes add the sliced bell peppers.
  6. Once, the bell peppers and onions are half way done add the mushrooms.
  7. Then, add the carrots and start seasoning. Season according to YOUR taste. Add your salt, pepper, paprika, and vegeta to the mix. Enjoy the delicious aroma that is starting to fill your kitchen.
  8. Once all the vegetables are well done add the spaetzle. They should be well drained by now. Mix well with the vegetables and sauce.
  9. Enjoy a delicious and filling meal of spaetzle with mushrooms, carrots, and bell peppers.
TIP: A side salad goes along well with this meal.

Bon Appetit!

Did you enjoy this recipe? Do you have a similar one yourself? Let me know, I'd like to hear from you!

Our Shopping Results.

So, we went shopping and had a grand time!
I didn't manage to get everything on our list but I did get some stuff and I even bought myself something. That makes me super happy.

Without further ado...

my new dress for after giving birth

the dress is actually the exact color of the
striped shirt below

it matches the skirt perfectly

one more treat for myself,,,my huge pregnant
belly made me run out of t-shirts

loving the shoes, they can
be worn two ways

loving the inscription

thought this was appropriate since
he is the boss here at the everyday mommy
headquarters.

my favorite

I also decided to hold off on anymore clothes and shoe shopping for Baby J. until September. There's a HUGE second hand sale then and I want to save up every penny to go SUPER bargain hunting then. A lot of his clothes that he wears now are from last years second hand sale. I actually bought every piece of clothing with brand new with tags attached AND spent spent half the money I did today. So, needless to say I'm excited about September!

Don't get me wrong. I love shopping in stores too!

Do you prefer in store shopping, second hand shopping, or a little of both?

Let me know your thoughts in a comment below!

It's true...I Love Good Bargains!

Two things.

1. Baby J. has received his second haircut. First one for this year. And he is absolutely the most handsomest little guy EVER!! Sure, hubby got a little carried away but in the end it looks GREAT!

2. SHOPPING TIME!!!- Yep, one of my favorite stores is having a 25% off sale on all children items and clothing. So, you guessed it we're going to be present bright and early. Actually, I'm hoping to time it so that we will be among the first that enter the store. I have quite a few items I want to get the little man and don't want to risk them being sold out. Here are a few pictures of what I'm hoping to get.

The last time we went to this store he fell in love with
this stuffed animal...so yep, I want to buy it for him now.

Warm weather coming up...definitely need some shorts.

To replace the ones that are stained.
I love this. It'll look so nice on him.

Could you resist??

Love these PJs.

Little man is starting to walk so he needs good shoes.

So, that's about it. I'm hoping they're not sold out of these. Otherwise ... internet shopping here we come!!

I'll have to update you all on what we actually managed to get. Hmm, maybe I'll find something nice for myself as well. Just a thought.

Do you like shopping better at the actual store or online? Looking forward to hearing your thoughts!!
